Fire up your G-R-O-O-V-Y
B-L-E-N-D-E-R program! |
Delete the default plane. We won't need it anyways. Then push SPACE and you will see a menu. Click what I say... ADD>MESH>CUBE. We don't need an complex object for this tutorial, but if you want to, go ahead. Rotate it, size it, etc. to make it look good or just copy mine... |
Ok! Good job so far! Ok, put your 3D curser by the cube. Be careful or it will look unreal. I suggest you to shift your points of view a few times (1, 3, and 7 points of view works the best). Then push SPACE and click ADD>MESH>PLANE. |
Ok... now you probably are wondering why we wanted a plane. Actually we don't really want a plane. We use it to create a laser or more if you want to. Push "B" and click on 3 corners so they will be yellow. Push "X" and click on vertice. Now it should look somehow like that... |
Whew! It was a hard work huh? *winks* Ok, now what? Listen to me, make sure you are in edit mode of this object that we were working from last step. Move your curser to where you want the end of laser to be, push CTRL+LEFT CLICK. You should see this like mine... |
Ok... now go to EDIT BUTTON (F9). You will see a lot of different opnions to choose. Look at your left screen at the bottom. Search for word, "SUBDIVIDE" Click on it about six times, maybe more if your laser is really long. It should look like mine... |
Go to Material Button (F5). Go to "-" button and
then ADD NEW. |
Ok, almost finished! I promise that there are only few more steps left before you have the most beautiful lasers! Be patient! Ok, when you render it, you noticed that it have no light to reflect the laser so it can makes the "bond" of the realisic. So now we need a lamp. Push SPACE and ADD>LAMP. Put it where your beginning of laser was. Not inside of the cube, but not too far. It should somehow look like that... |
Whew... ok copy my information for lamp. |
Ok... I almost forgot, add one dim lamp, not too dark or light so laser's light can show off. |
Congratulations! You did it! :) Go and show off your waaay neat
